Course Description

The course has been designed to address the growing challenges of the modern economy relating to climate protection and the achievement of sustainable development goals. Understanding the division of decision-making powers between the EU institutions and its Member States, as well as the EU’s values and objectives, is essential for grasping the legal basis of the concept of sustainable development, ESG reporting and the ESRS standards.

The aim of the course is to prepare participants to implement the principles of sustainable development in a business’s strategy and operations (with a particular focus on the SME sector), in accordance with ESG requirements and European Union regulations. Participants will acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of responsible ESG reporting and the analysis of environmental, social and corporate governance risks.
