Network of seven universities with a strong regional anchoring. Each one has distinct cultural heritages and languages, educational and administrative systems, economic and political realities.
This week the heads of the nine universities forming FORTHEM, the European Universities Alliance, met in Valencia to discuss the strategic development for their continued collaboration and to sign the FORTHEM Alliance mission statement paving the way for their partnership over the next four years.
The aim of the Digital Academy is to create common alliance level virtual mobility possibilities on the on-line platform. It will include the existing courses from partner universities for FORTHEM students, seven language courses (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Finnish, Latvian) to promote multilingualism and new courses related to Labs’ topics. Joint Tandem learning options (online training from students for students) will be also available.
The platform has been set up in Moodle and expanded with other tools in order to enlarge the learning possibilities for FORTHEM community members. It will collect existing courses and new e-learning material.
