Course Description

This course examines the economic and political forces that have shaped European integration, from the first communities to today's European Union. We explore why states choose to cooperate economically, how common policies are created, and what benefits and tensions arise from them.

By the end of the course, students will understand the basic principles of the single market and the monetary union, and will be able to critically analyse current challenges facing integration.
